The good news, the Gospel of our salvation. Isn’t this a great time of year?! A time to remember what and who Christmas is all about. Yes, we celebrate and enjoy seeing the lights and decorations in our homes and around town, but it is so much more than that. It’s a time to celebrate the coming of our Lord and Savior. Jesus, came to this earth in the form of a child to grow into the man that would be the sacrifice for all sin. John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” When He was born, the heavens rejoiced knowing that the unfathomable chasm between God and man had eradicated. We see this in Luke 2:13,14 “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” That’s the good news! No more divide between God and man, between our Father and us His children. We can now participate in the things of heaven right here on earth. That was the plan from the beginning. This Christmas season as we celebrate, take time to remember why it’s important. Also show the love of God through our actions, not just towards our families and friends, but the people we see around us. From Pastor Laura and myself, have a very Merry Christmas!
