More Grace

In the years I’ve come realize that when we say the grace, we generally consider it only from a receiving perspective. When have been given all the grace we will ever need. Yet, it doesn’t really end there.

In today’s society, it seems as if everyone wants to be given grace and not ever give it to others. When anyone does anything we object to, rather than putting them down or shaming them we should take the opportunity to show some grace. Not everyone has arrived to perfection, but we hold them to a standard that we can’t even keep.

Truth is, we don’t know what others have been through or their life experiences. We don’t know what has influenced their thinking. We only see from our own perspective. Sometimes we need to step back and see from God’s view. We all messed up, and He still shows us His grace.

Recently, I saw where an athlete that had done something twenty plus years ago, is still being slammed and put down publicly. Not by the person they hurt, but by people that have never met the person. Think about this. A culture where there is no forgiveness towards anyone that has ever done anything wrong.

Is this what we have come to as a society? Go ahead and walk in a place where you don’t show any mercy or kindness or grace but start crying when the same judgement comes at you.

Show mercy to others. Be quick to forgive. Walk in the light of God’s grace.
