Walk in the Spirit
By Pastor Eric
Have you ever considered not only who you are but how you have been created to operate?
You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. Your spirit is who you really are, not your mind, will, emotions, feelings or senses. You (the spirit man) have been translated into His Kingdom according to Colossians 1:13, also in Colossians 2:10, it says “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”
Your flesh is not saved, it still has its own wants and desires and is never satisfied. If your flesh could be satisfied, then you would have eaten chocolate once and then never craved it again. Take time to study Romans chapter 8. It speaks about the flesh and how there is no righteousness in it. Remember though, you are not your flesh and you are no longer a sinner.
When we choose to walk by the spirit we see things in an entirely new perspective. We are created in Christ (Eph. 2:10) and seated in Him in Heaven. SO, our perspective must be from Heaven not from circumstances.
Today begin walking according to the spirit man and not by your flesh. Tune in to what the Lord is saying through His Spirit to your spirit by praying in the spirit. Yes, praying in tongues is a biblical principle and must be applied in order to hear clearly from Heaven.
Allow Him to show you what you should do for the day. Many times we get into a routine and totally leave God out of our schedule. This will open us up to be led by our flesh and by every circumstance that comes at us causing us to miss the wonderful blessing He has for us.
Don’t miss out on what the Lord has for you today and every day. Set the flesh man down and tell him to be quiet and move over to your spirit man. You will see awesome signs and wonders.
We continue to move forward on this wonderful journey the Lord has us on. Our assignment keeps us busy ministering to the broken, healing the sick and preaching this gospel of His Kingdom throughout the nation and the world. Your generous financial support is a true blessing to this ministry. You are storing up riches in heavenly accounts that are available to you at any time. Any time you have a need or desire you make a withdrawal from your account. The Word of God says in Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Remember you all are always prayed for.
I call you blessed of the Lord.
Occasionally Pastors Eric and Laura will write as the Lord leads them. There may be prophetic words or insights and revelation that have come to them. They share these with the intention that someone would be blessed and encouraged or admonished, something we all need once in a while.
